SALSA Issue 7 - Key changes event
The SALSA standard is changing
SALSA will launch Issue 7 of its new Food and Drink Production Standard, this summer [SALSA - Latest News]. From 1st June 2026, the new standard will be available on the SALSA website, allowing businesses to view the requirements and start preparing.
From 1st September 2026, all SALSA audits will be conducted against the updated standard.
To support food and drink businesses through these changes, ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre will be delivering this event from July 2026.
This event has been specifically designed to:
- Clearly explain the key changes introduced in Issue 7
- Provide businesses with practical insight into how compliance can be demonstrated.
Delegates will explore and discuss significant areas of change, including:
- Food fraud resilience
- Management of change
- Other key updates impacting SALSA compliance
The session will share best‑practice approaches, encourage discussion, and support businesses in preparing confidently for the transition to Issue 7.

Bydd SALSA yn lansio Rhifyn 7 o'i Safon Cynhyrchu Bwyd a Diod newydd, yr haf hwn [SALSA - Newyddion Diweddaraf]. Yn dechrau ar y 1af o Fehefin 2026, bydd y safon newydd ar gael ar wefan SALSA, gan ganiatáu i fusnesau weld y gofynion a dechrau paratoi. O’r 1af o Fedi 2026, bydd pob archwiliad SALSA yn cael ei gynnal yn erbyn y Safon wedi'i diweddaru.
Er mwyn cefnogi busnesau bwyd a diod drwy'r newidiadau hyn, bydd ZERO2FIVE Ganolfan Diwydiant Bwyd yn cyflwyno cyfres o ddigwyddiadau o fis Mehefin 2026 ymlaen.
Mae'r digwyddiad hwn wedi'i gynllunio'n benodol i wneud y canlynol:
- Esbonio’n glir y newidiadau allweddol a gyflwynwyd yn Rhifyn 7
- Rhoi mewnwelediad ymarferol i fusnesau i sut y gellir dangos cydymffurfiaeth.
