About this Event
We are beyond honored to be hosting our very FIRST installment of the Salsa En El Barrio Latin Jam at the legendary La Marqueta in collaboration with Cocotazo. La Marqueta has been serving the Latino Community for Over 8 decades!! Providing a space for vendors across East Harlem to come under one roof to sell hot food, fresh produce, art & goods. While also serving as a social hub to dance, listen to live music, play dominoes and hear the local chisme among residents.
Joining our event, we'll be having Chef Frances Roman of Cocotazo who will be serving up mouth-watering traditional Puerto Rican cuisine with a fresh twist. We are doing this to keep NYC salsa alive and to share our beautiful artform and culture with everyone. THIS IS FOR THE COMMUNITY! BRING YO INSTRUMENTS & DANCING SHOES CAUSE THIS IS GONNA BE A PARTY.
