Marie-Jo Bonnet, born in 1949 in Deauville, is an art historian, writer, and lecturer. Involved in the Women's Liberation Movement since 1971, she defended a pioneering thesis on romantic relationships between women from the 16th to the 20th century. She has authored over twenty books on women's history, art, and the Resistance. She has taught at Columbia University and Carleton College in Paris. Recently, she organized exhibitions in Rennes and Brest and chaired the "Friends of the Foundation for the Memory of Deportation" association.

French author Sophie Danger will join us online at the Alliance to discuss her book “Alice Milliat. La femme olympique”, which chronicles the life of the pioneering athlete who championed women's inclusion in the Olympic Games. IN FRENCH.
After wanting for a long time to become a dancer and then a psychoanalyst, Sophie Danger ultimately became a journalist. She began her career at the newspaper L’Équipe, then moved to a digital newsroom before transitioning to television. From presenting news programs to producing magazines, she discovered the world of visual media. She then ventured into writing and directing her first documentary, a web series dedicated to toilet graffiti (Aux chiottes la liberté), from which she also wrote a book. Since then, she has definitively given up dancing to focus on the pursuit of great stories, which she tells through words or images. She now collaborates with various media outlets (notably ÀBLOCK!, which specializes in women's sports), writes and directs documentaries (most recently, AJ Hackett, His Majesty of the Extreme).

A veteran of the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Historian, Krasnoff holds a B.A. from George Washington University; M.A. from NYU; PhD in History from The Graduate Center, City University of New York.
