12:30pm - 2:00pm: At the Education Pavilion
Introduction and Indigenous welcome will be provided by GBHNR Board Member Callista Thirsk and Executive Director Camille Coray. The day will continue with a walk and talk led by salmon biologist Matt Foy, who will discuss the salmon life cycle, the history of salmon in our area, and the recent GBHNR Habitat Refresh project on Salwein Creek. *FREE*
2:00am - 3:00pm: At the Education Pavilion
Talk about Salmon Habitat Restoration projects with Stó:lō Elder Eddie Gardner from Skwah First Nation. *FREE*
Wooden benches and/or folding chairs will be provided for seating, but feel free to bring more comfortable chairs if you see fit.
*Portions of the event may be moved inside the Education Annex if temperatures dip too low.*
