Sales Club: Selling with Stories

“Stories build bridges. When the story ends and the teller’s voice is silenced, the bridge between the teller and listener remains.”

Selling with stories is one of the fastest ways to make your message land - because people don’t buy when they understand you, they buy when they feel you.

In this Sales Club session at Clockwise Liverpool, we’ll look at how to use simple, authentic stories to create emotional connection, build trust quickly, and make what you sell feel real (not “salesy”).

People decide with emotion and justify with logic - stories do the emotional heavy lifting.

You’ll leave with practical techniques you can use immediately: how to choose the right story for the moment, how to structure it so it’s engaging (without waffling), and how to link it back to the commercial point so it drives action. Whether you’re selling a service, a product, or an idea internally, this session will help you stand out in a world of samey pitches and feature-dumps.
Date: Tuesday 20th May
Time: 9:30–11:30
Location: Clockwise, Liverpool

What we’ll cover:

  • Why stories outperform facts alone in sales conversations
  • How to use emotion to earn attention and create belief
  • Simple story structures you can reuse (and adapt on the fly)
  • Turning “what we do” into stories that prospects remember
  • Making your stories commercial: linking emotion to a clear next step

If you want your sales conversations to feel more human, more memorable, and more persuasive, this one’s for you!
