🎶 Salem Songwriter Sessions is coming this summer — and we're kicking things off June 13th with four great acts!
The Millis Berfield Band features three talented and fun performers: Bo Veaner, guitar and vocals; Mark D. Hastings, keyboard and vocals; and Ken Porter, percussion and vocals. The band has been active for over eight years. Their music is a diverse list of covers & originals, and their appeal is broad enough to appeal to all ages. A fun Feel Good, family friendly band!
Lonely Oak (Mark Reimer) composes and performs original music in the spirit of American blues, country, and gospel. Descended from Okies and Arkies — Grapes of Wrath territory — ordained minister in his 20s, traveler ever since. His EP Ninety-Nine: American Jesus was recorded with Dave Mattacks (Fairport Convention, XTC, Paul McCartney) and Phil Madeira (Grammy-winning leader of Emmylou Harris's Red Dirt Boys). lonelyoak.bandcamp.com
Ron Israel has over three decades of experience writing and performing songs that speak to the times in which we live. He is known for his insightful lyrics and haunting melodies.Ron’s work has been praised by the late John Hammond, lead producer at Columbia records. His songs have been covered by many artists including Ritchie Havens, Barry McGuire,and Peter Coyote. He has been interviewed on NPR radio with Susan Stamnberg.
