Salem Band will perform its annual Winter Concert on February 22nd in Hanes Auditorium. This exciting program has something for everyone: Resound by Nicole Piunno; Alfred Reed’s exciting Hounds of Spring; Jubilate, based on “The Lone Wild Bird/Prospect;” the jazzy Stick Figures; Waltz No.2 by Shostakovich featuring Principal Saxophonist Sara Emery; Sailing with Whales; Eric Whitacre’s popular Sleep; and more. Salem Band’s Featured Soloist for this program is local soprano vocalist Katie Muhlenkamp, who will sing Puccini’s Musetta’s Waltz from la Boheme and I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables with the band.FREE in Hanes Auditorium, Elberson Fine Arts Center, on the campus of Salem Academy and College.
