About this Event
In Tagalog, salaysay means "story" or "narrative." There are myriad stories that contribute to Filipino American history, and we're excited to host five writers from across the boroughs—each sharing work about building our legacy as Filipinos living away from our homeland.
These readers are gathering to fundraise for Tanggol Migrante Movement, an alliance of organizations dedicated to defending Filipino migrants across the U.S. Suggested donation is $10 upon entry via cash or venmo.
There will also be a book raffle featuring titles from Filipino American authors, selected by lead bookseller Ienna! Raffle tickets cost $5 each, available for purchase at the event.
