LT: Po koncertų Leipcige, Vienoje, Paryžiuje RBS Europa Choir vėl pasirodys Šv. Kazimiero bažnyčioje, kur savo skambesiu jau sužavėjo publiką. Šis scenarijus neabejotinai pasikartos, nes prie dirigento pulto stos Jeremy Jackmanas.
Jo biografija - savotiška anglų chorinės muzikos kronika. Karjerą pradėjęs kaip choro dainininkas Šv. Pauliaus katedroje Londone, vėliau prisijungė prie vokalinių kolektyvų The Tallis Scholars, The Sixteen ir The King's Singers. Dvidešimt metų vadovavo English Baroque Choir, su kuriuo koncertavo tokiose išskirtinėse salėse, kaip Royal Albert Hall, Venecijos Šv. Morkaus bazilikoje.
Šv. Kazimiero bažnyčiai parinkta programa – kaip kelionė per penkis šimtmečius: XVI a. polifonijos – per švelnią Fauré melancholiją, Rossini energiją, Mendelssohno maldą už taiką – iki modernios Britteno šlovinimo giesmės. O finale – netikėtas lietuviškas akcentas: paties Jackmano aranžuota Kur giria žaliuoja.
Tai koncertas, kuriame sužavės ne tik muzika, bet ir bendruomeniška, iš skirtingų Europos šalių susibūriusių choristų dvasia, apgaubsianti ir pakylėsianti kiekvieną atėjusį.

EN: After concerts in Leipzig, Vienna and Paris, the RBS Europa Choir will again be appearing at St Casimir’s Church where they have already enchanted the public with their sound. This scenario is sure to be repeated, as none other than Jeremy Jackman will be taking to the conductor’s podium.
His biography reads like a kind of chronicle of English choir music. Starting his career as a choir singer at St Paul’s Cathedral in London, he later joined the vocal collectives The Tallis Scholars, The Sixteen and The King’s Singers. Heading the English Baroque Choir for twenty years, he participated in concert tours performing at exclusive venues such as Royal Albert Hall and Venice’s St Mark’s Basilica.
The programme selected for St Casimir’s Church is reminiscent of a journey across five centuries: 16th-century polyphony, spanning the gentle melancholy of Fauré, Rossini’s energy and Mendelssohn’s prayer for peace, right up to Britten’s modern hymn of glory. And for the finale – an unexpected Lithuanian accent: Jackman’s own arrangement of Kur giria žaliuoja (Where the Green Woods Grow).
This is a concert that’s appealing not just for its music but also for the communal spirit of choir singers gathered from different European countries, enveloping and elevating every one who attends.
