Tapio is a veteran of multiple round-the-world races and one of the most respected ocean sailors in the world.
Sailing with him offers a rare opportunity to learn traditional seamanship, offshore strategy, and the mindset required
for serious ocean sailing.
This is mentorship at sea - be part of the working crew. You are not a passenger — you are part of the team.
Crew may participate in:
• Sail handling
• Navigation and watch systems
• Following the weather situation and planning the cruise accordingly
• Offshore seamanship
• If we decide together, we can do an overnight passage with night watches. All experience levels are welcome if you are motivated to learn.

Galiana is a classic ocean-going yacht designed for real sailing. You will experience the rhythm of life at sea and the teamwork required to sail a traditional vessel safely and efficiently.

Paul has spent extensive time all around the Caribbean but especially in the Bahamas, having also written a book about sailing in the Bahamas (Journey to the Ragged Islands).
In addition to his cruising experience, Paul loves to explore coral reefs by snorkeling and free diving. So, if you want to explore the waters in the Bahamas under the surface, Paul will be your best companion.
