About this Event
Join Sage Against the Machine as we say 'Goodbye (for now)' at the Audubon Center at Debs Park to our dear friend, poet and native plant lover Barbara Chung. Honoring Barbara's amazing writing and poetry skills, the night will consist of an open-mic poetry night from 6:30pm-8pm, and a live Sage Against the Machine show from 8pm - 9:30pm.....and did we mention there will be free tacos from 6pm - 8pm? Make sure to register to guarantee food and send us a quick message thru Instagram or email ([email protected]) if you'd like to throw down some poetry that night. We are asking folks to keep all poetry readings to 5 minutes or less, and to focus on the following subjects:
- What takes your breath away?
- What are you waiting for?
- What keeps you going?
- What plant is this?
- What the What?
Bring your own poetry to read, or something that inspires you from someone else.....
