Do you ever feel stuck in your body, like tension, restlessness, or anxiety are always just below the surface? Maybe you notice that the moment you stop, overwhelm hits hard, or perhaps you struggle to get started, procrastinate, and feel stuck regularly. Often, our nervous system carries echoes of past experiences, and simply trying to “think your way through it” isn’t enough.Discover how gentle, compassionate attention to your body can help. In this 90-minute introductory workshop, we’ll explore felt sense awareness, the subtle bodily “knowing” that often precedes conscious thought, through a somatic and nervous system-informed approach.
As one guiding principle reminds us: “The slow way is the fast way.” Change or growth doesn’t always come from big, dramatic releases, what’s most important are the small, gentle moments where your nervous system feels safe enough to notice and explore sensations that may have previously felt overwhelming. By learning to give yourself space, support, and gentle attention, you can experience challenging emotions in a contained, compassionate way, helping your nervous system gradually learn it is safe.
In this session, you’ll be gently guided to notice whatever arises in your body with curiosity, tuning into subtle shifts, tensions, or movements and exploring the messages your body holds.
Through gentle, experiential practices, you’re invited to:
Notice and connect with internal and external resources, finding what helps you feel supported, safe, and held.
Explore subtle felt sense sensations with curiosity and compassion, giving yourself space to observe rather than interpret or fix.
Learn a little about how the nervous system responds to stress and safety, and practice micro-moments that invite it to feel regulated and supported.
Experience how small, gentle moments of attention can create new possibilities, helping you respond to challenges with more choice and ease.
This workshop is introductory, experiential, and invitational. No prior experience with somatic or body-focused practices is required, only a willingness to notic and explore.
