About this Event
Safe Spaces: Community Conversation & Mahjong
Red Dragon Social Club × Gemeente Utrecht x Provincie Utrecht x Gemeente Amersfoort
In the context of the International Day Against Racism and Discrimination, Red Dragon Social Club and the Municipality of Utrecht invite you to an evening of conversation, connection, and community.
The evening will begin with a panel conversation about safe spaces for the Asian diaspora in the Netherlands. Together we will explore questions such as: What does a safe space mean in practice? When do people feel welcome, supported, and heard? And how can communities create spaces where people can connect and share experiences?
We aim to bring together voices from the community for an open and thoughtful discussion. Panel participants will be announced soon.
After the conversation, the evening continues with a casual mahjong session. Mahjong has long been a social tradition across many Asian communities, bringing people together around the table to play, talk, and connect.
Whether you already play mahjong or are curious to learn, everyone is welcome to join.
