About this Event

A confidence-building comedy and creativity workshop with Ross

What makes you different is often what makes you unforgettable.

Safe Space to Be Weird & Wonderful is an uplifting, playful, and confidence-boosting workshop designed to help you celebrate the things that make you unique — your quirks, oddities, unusual perspectives, and all the little things that set you apart.

Through a mix of fun games, creative writing exercises, improv, storytelling, and performance, this session helps you transform those differences into strengths, whether for comedy, confidence, public speaking, or simply self-expression.

This is a supportive and welcoming space where individuality is celebrated.

Throughout the day, we’ll explore:

  • fun warm-up games and improv exercises
  • creative prompts designed to unlock originality
  • ways to turn personal quirks into memorable stories and characters
  • techniques for building audience engagement
  • using physicality, expression, and voice in performance
  • writing exercises that help shape your own unique comic voice
  • confidence-building performance opportunities in a safe environment

A key part of the workshop is exploring how the things we sometimes hide about ourselves can become our creative superpowers.

Using imaginative exercises such as hashtag games, character creation, superhero writing prompts, and performance tasks, you’ll develop material that feels authentic, personal, and relatable.

This workshop is ideal for:

  • comedians and performers
  • writers and creatives
  • neurodivergent artists
  • LGBTQ+ creatives
  • Anyone wanting to build confidence
  • people looking for a safe and encouraging creative space

No previous comedy or performance experience is needed.

Whether you want to develop material, improve your confidence, or simply spend the day being playful and creative with like-minded people, this workshop is for you.

Come as you are.
Bring your weird, your wonderful, and everything in between.
