Come join us for the 4th Safe Space LA 3d meetup! We very excited to have Marcel Ziul from State present their bold, vibrant mixed media approach to motion, emotion and design. This will be a very lively one!
Please note that we have limited parking spaces, so please arrive early to find parking on time. There is a good amount of street parking near by, but please make sure to be aware of the posted signs.
About Safe Space LA.
Over the past few years as motion designers at our studio, Laundry, we realized, we don’t have a 3d meetup in Los Angeles. Especially post-pandemic & now working from home, countless artists have said how they missed seeing fellow artists and friends in person.
We thought, let’s change that! And, Safe Space was born. A DIY hang out for LA and visiting artists and those passionate about the 3d visual arts.

About Marcel Ziul and State
Marcel Ziul is the Founder and Executive Creative Director at State.
He began his career in Brazil, just outside São Paulo, around 2000. Traveling the country, he was lucky to work with the best local talent and clients. But in 2006, he felt the need to re-learn everything he knew and go for a full reset of his life and career. After years of “working at some awesome and not-so-awesome studios”, he moved to Los Angeles and built a studio where he could finally do things his way, while setting up new standards for himself and for the people he collaborates with. Since then, Ziul has been collaborating with the best talent and clients worldwide.
His commercial work includes bespoke projects for brands such as Google, NFL, Under Armour, ESPN, Electronic Arts, Amazon, FX, Facebook, UFC, Apple, Nike and others. Since 2014, Ziul and his team at State have won numerous awards and recognition from the industry including PromaxBDA, MTV VMA, and Emmy Awards.
Today, Ziul uses design and animation to promote mental health and human development. His latest projects include an art exhibition that explores enhancing human interactions in the digital age through R&D, as well as a short film inspired by Ziul’s personal experience with therapy.
Ziul’s notable portfolio and his willingness to express vulnerability through his craft, have also made him a highly sought-after speaker at renowned creativity conferences worldwide, such as OFFF Barcelona/Sevilla/Tel Aviv/Mexico, Graphika Manila, Node Fest Melbourne, and KIKK Belgium.
