Join us for an in-person session all about keeping our kids safe and confident in the digital world.

What will the event cover?
17:45 – 18:00 – Welcome & Introduction
18:00 – 19:10 – Empowering Children with Safer Schools App Delivered by Safer Schools. Online risks and trends facing young people online, practical tools, and the Safer schools Scotland app as one of those tools to empower the whole community.
19:10 – 19:40 – Promoting psychological resilience and brain health in the online environment. Exploring some of the research on mental wellbeing and brain development and how this relates to online activity. Consideration, polls and discussion on how best to support children and young people to look after their wellbeing and brain health.
1940- 20:20 Wander the Maketplace and see demonstrations. Cyber Resilience & Internet Safety ( CRIS) Based on insights from Meg Brough and Digilearn.scot, this session highlights how schools already support and empower children to be cyber resilient.
