Sounding somewhere between a camp Smiths and LCD Soundsystem, Even Fred’s Happy combine performance art with punk and pop - as if James Acaster decided to front a camp Yard Act tribute band. Catchy melodies meet danceable grooves, touching on the pop sensibilities of groups such as Arcade Fire and The 1975, whilst also drawing inspiration from the whimsical rhythms of Talking Heads. Since forming in 2023, the band has established a reputation for chaotic yet charming live performances across London.
