About this Event
This unique event invites you to experience the profound spiritual and healing energies of the forest through traditional chants and the application of the traditional medicine of rapeh.
Rume Reshke (Rapé / Rapeh) is a fine powder made from tobacco together with a compound of tree barks, herbs and other plants. Blown through the nose, rapeh brings grounding, protection and powerful energetic cleansing, as well as being of benefit in treating respiratory diseases and migraines.
The Huni Kuin people live in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, in an area on the border between Brazil and Peru. Txana Mashã is part of the village that bears the name of Mati Txana Mukaya, made up of approximately 25 families with a total of 140 people. With a degree in literature, he worked as a teacher for 18 years, an academic profession that he now indirectly follows, and which was fundamental in sharing the teachings of his people around the world.
In light of this context, he became a strong leader and organizer, both inside and outside his land. In addition, he protects and practices the ancestral knowledge and wisdom of his Huni Kuin people's tradition, which is focused on the world of spirituality through traditional prayers, stories and rituals with the powerful and healing sacred medicines of the forest.
Based on the philosophy of teaching and learning together, the indigenous leader seeks to keep alive and intact all the cultural and identity expressions of his land, kept in the mind and heart of the shaman.
Txana Mashã will guide us through this ancient ritual, using sacred chants and the powerful vibration of the forest to connect us deeply with nature and our innerselves. This is a rare opportunity to engage with indigenous wisdom and partake in a ceremony that has been cherished for generations.
We are looking forward to meeting you.
