SACRED TEA CEREMONY: THE GREAT OPENER
A Sacred Gathering at Temple Mother Earth

Every 3rd Friday of the Month · Washington, DC

Some conversations only happen in silence.

The plant kingdom has been holding this one for thousands of years.

Tonight, we listen.

You may have already done a great deal of work.

Therapy. Retreats. Breathwork. Books. The kind of inner work that has helped — and that has also brought you to a doorway you have not yet walked through.

There is a part of you still asking for something deeper. Not louder. Deeper.

This gathering is for that part of you.

WHAT THIS IS

Sacred Tea Ceremony: The Great Opener is a ceremonial gathering held at Temple Mother Earth, a 508(c)(1)(A) sacred church in Washington, DC.

Sacred Tea has been carried through thousands of years of ceremonial tradition. Within our church, it is held as a central sacrament, a contemplative practice rooted in reverence, intention, and care.

This is not a drug. This is not a shortcut. This is a sacrament. What arrives in the ceremony is specific to what you are carrying. The container holds. You meet what is yours to meet.

We hold this gathering monthly, on the third Friday, as the deepest anchor in the rhythm of our community. Within Sacred Series Week, this ceremony serves as the heart of May's Remembrance arc, a doorway into the deeper layers of memory.

WHAT THIS EXPERIENCE MAY OFFER

A return to inner stillness and presence

Space for ancestral reflection and remembrance

Reconnection to inner knowing and quiet truth

Emotional release and nervous system tending

A felt sense of reverence, community, and being held

Clarity about what wants attention in your life

We make no promises about what your evening will hold. We prepare the space carefully and trust what arises for each person.

WHO THIS IS FOR

→ The one who has been doing the work and has reached a doorway nothing else has opened

→ Anyone with prior ceremonial experience who is ready for depth

→ The person carrying ancestral grief, longing, or unfinished memory

→ The one who senses something deeper has been quietly asking for attention

→ Anyone joining for Sacred Series Week and continuing the arc

WHAT TO EXPECT

This is the most reverently held ceremony in our community rhythm. Every detail of the container has been built and refined over six years of practice.

The evening unfolds slowly:

A pre-ceremony gathering and intention-setting

A ceremonial opening rooted in the lineages this sacrament comes from

The sacred work itself, held in a fully prepared container

Trained facilitators present throughout

Time for stillness, integration, and inward presence

A gentle closing in community

Integration support beyond the evening itself

You are held by experienced hands. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is performed.

Specific ceremonial details and full preparation guidance are shared with you after registration.

IMPORTANT NOTES

After you register, our team will reach out for a brief intake conversation. This includes a review of medical history, current medications, mental health considerations, and intentions for sitting.

This conversation protects you and the integrity of the container. It is part of how we hold this sacrament with care.

Some medications and conditions are not compatible with this ceremony. Please disclose everything during intake. Never adjust prescribed Medic*tion without consulting your provider.

This is held within the religious framework of our 508(c)(1)(A) sacred church. We maintain full documentation of our religious practice, trained facilitators, and emergency protocols.

Capacity is limited. Tickets are released on a first-registered basis.

If this is your first ceremonial experience, you are welcome here and we also invite you to consider beginning with our Cacao or Hapé gatherings as a gentler entry point. Many practitioners arrive here after a season of preparation through our other offerings.

If something in you has been waiting at this doorway for a long time, we honor that.

When you are ready, the Temple is here.

Reserve your seat below.
