About this Event
πΆ Sacred Folk Kirtan Night β Bhajans, Mantra Meditation & Prasadam πΆ
Join us for a warm, intimate and heart-opening evening of sacred folk music, rooted in the devotional traditions of India πΏ
This is a curated kirtan night featuring traditional Indian folk bhajans, Bengali devotional songs, mantra meditation, and live acoustic instruments πͺπ₯ Alongside call-and-response kirtan, weβll be sharing bhajans that are rarely heard in mainstream kirtan spaces β offering something unique, soulful, and deeply rooted.
No prior experience is needed π€ Youβre welcome to sing along, listen quietly, or simply rest in the atmosphere.
After the music, weβll come together to share a lovingly prepared vegetarian meal called prasadam.π²
β¨ Free for all β donations are welcome to support prasadam distribution for future kirtan nights.
π―οΈ What is Prasadam?
Prasadam is sacred vegetarian food that has first been offered in devotion, transforming it from ordinary nourishment into spiritually blessed food β¨ In the bhakti tradition, food carries consciousness β and when offered with love and gratitude, it becomes a vessel of grace π
Sharing prasadam is a ritual of receiving: nourishment for the body, the heart, and the subtle layers within πΏ You donβt need to follow any spiritual path to partake β simply come, receive, and enjoy this lovingly prepared offering in good company πΈ
