🔷 About Mugwort:
Latin Name: Artemisia Vulgaris
Irish: Mongach Meisce, Liathlus, Mugard.
Correspondence: Moon, Venus, Earth
Mugwort is named after the lunar goddess, Artemis, and like the moon, invites us to travel with her from the material world into the magical.
A herb of the Goddess as Crone/Cailleach, Mugwort encourages wisdom and observation. Mugwort appears in recipes for flying ointments, psychic teas, and divinatory incenses. Different people report vastly different experiences with using Mugwort.
Mugwort contains the chemical thujone, which is a mild intoxicant. Mugwort is not really a hallucinogen, but a way to stimulate lucid dreaming, astral travel, and visualization. The effects of Mugwort are more pronounced during sleep or trance states. However, Mugwort does have real psychoactive effects.
You do not need to have any concerns about how it will affect you as the amounts used are very small. You will be perfectly fine to drive home.
We will activate Mugwort Essential Oil to encourage self love. This is the wisdom of the Cailleach, a gentle compassion for ourselves as we move through life. Mugwort is powerfully protective and used for purification and banishing negative energies.

🔷 NB: This workshop is not suitable for pregnant or lactating women.
Also not advisable for those who are unable to be around smoke, as this is part of the Initiation. It is possible however that this part of the workshop may be held outdoors.
If you are very sensitive to thujone, please note that it can be absorbed trans dermally (through the skin) and can be an irritant to anyone who is allergic to the Daisy family.
Not suitable for those on antipsychotic medication.
