Making your own medicine drum is truly one of the most precious gifts you can give yourself. Through this sacred process, you'll forge an unbreakable bond with your drum – heart to heart, spirit to spirit. Each beat will carry the echoes of your creation story, opening doorways to countless wonderful journeys together.
Don't worry if you've never done anything like this before – your heart's calling is all the experience you need. By sunset, you'll be holding your very own shamanic drum and beater, a powerful new ally in your spiritual practice.
Date: SUNDAY 30 MARCH 2025 (9:30am - 5:00pm)

Structure of the day:
BEGINNING
9:30am: We will open the space by calling on the support and the holding of the five Elements - Earth, Air, Fire, Water & Spirit
From here we are going to set intentions and offer a ritual for the process.
DRUM BIRTHING
Our next step is to choose your frame. We will then take you on a journey to connect with the wood, followed by oiling the frames. You can choose to bring with you an essential oil scent that feels right for you. From here we will move onto connecting with and blessing the hides. We will then cut out the head for the drum, punch out the holes, prepare our lacing.
12:30pm: Lunch
1:30pm: We will now put all 3 parts together to make your sacred drum. We will finish the building process off by making your own beater.
CLOSING
4:30pm: Ben & Ed are going to guide us through a powerful drum Meditation in which you will begin to listen more deeply to connect with your drum and to ground the experience in.

Who are we?
Edward Pullicino
I am a sound healing practitioner, ceremony facilitator, multi-instrumentalist, instrument maker and drum builder based in Malta.
Drumming has always been a passion and creating my own instruments has joined all the dots for me. I wish to share this experience with you! Join this workshop to feel what it’s like to play your own hand built instrument.
In my personal journey and workshops, I create a safe, welcoming space for people to connect with themselves and each other. This workshop is rooted in ancient traditions and offer participants a path to healing, rhythm, and self-expression.
Bernadette Riolo
I am a certified Transpersonal Hypnotherapist and Reiki Therapist, specialising in Inner Child Regression and Past Life Regression.
Through my workshops I offer intuitive and energy healing, incorporating modalities such as Chakra balancing, Reiki therapy, Shamanic journeying and Apometry healing. Together, we will dive deep into your life experiences, providing you with the support and safe space needed to release struggles, embrace your wildness, and thrive.
As a spiritual meditation guide, my integrated approach aims to support participants in physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing and growth. My personal journey as a mother, teacher and healer deeply informs my work and I am committed to supporting others on their own unique paths.
