This workshop is open to anyone who works with persons with disability; social workers, psychotherapists, psychologists, educators, early childhood educators, as well as parents and relatives.During this workshop participants will be given the opportunity to become more familiar with creative theapeutic techniques that they can use with persons with disability. This is an experiential workshop and therefore its content will offer a great opportunity to the participants to explore new and creative ways to engage with, and support persons with disability to develop and enhance their potential, their skills and process personal material. This workshop incorporates knowledge about techniques that contribute to emotional regulation and containment in cases when this is needed, and it includes knowledge about understanding and empathising with persons with disability. Techniques presented and facilitated throughout the workshop, will adapt to different types of disabilities and abilities.
Throughout the workshop reference will be made to the following therapeutic techniques and you will be given the opportunity to experience or facilitate some of the following techniques which can be facilitated with persons with disability.

- Play Therapy
- Systemic and Family Constellation Tehcniques
About The Workshop Facilitator:
This workshop will be facilitated by Sam Fenech who has been practicing in the helping and caring profession since 2005. Sam is a social worker by profession and graduated from Roehampton University in London with an MA in Dramatherapy in 2010. He is a warranted social worker and psychotherapist and an HCPC Registered Dramatherapist in the UK.
He has extensive experience of therapeutic work with children, adolescents and their families, many of whom have been through severe trauma and/or severe struggles in their lives. Sam has facilitated therapeutic work with persons with disabilities in the past years. He has particlularly been running therapy groups for persons with disability in schools. He has completed training in Systemic and Family Constellations in recent years, including training about The Orders of Love and The Orders of Helping and has incorporated these therapeutic approaches into his practice.
He has also set up and managed a Children's Home for children who have been through severe trauma, for over ten years, and is currently the Head of a Psychosocial Team in an Adolescent Therapeutic Unit.

You will receive an email about how you can effect payment to secure your place on this workshop.
Workshop Fee - 100 Euro or 80 Euro per person if you book as a group of 4.
When workshop is full, interested persons will be put on a waiting list and offered a space in case any one of the participants on the workshop drop their application. There is obviously no fee for interested persons who are put on a waiting list until they are offered a secure place on the workshop. Workshop fees are non-refundable unless the workshop facilitator cancels the event in rare circumstances.
You will receive a CPD certificate (7 hours) of participation and attendance at the end of the workshop. The workshop includes Tea and Coffee breaks.
