BIO:
Acharya Jonas Masetti is a distinguished teacher of Vedanta, dedicated to preserving and sharing the wisdom of the Vedic tradition. A direct disciple of Swami Dayananda, he spent over four years in India immersed in rigorous study, refining his understanding under the guidance of Glória Arieira and other esteemed masters. Recognized globally, he was publicly honored as the Ambassador of the Vedic Tradition in the Americas by the Prime Minister of India and awarded the Padma Shri in 2025 for his contributions to spreading Vedantic wisdom. Originally trained as a Mechanical Engineer, Jonas transitioned from a successful career in finance to fully devote himself to teaching Vedanta through Vishwavidya, an organization that has reached hundreds of thousands of students worldwide. Deeply committed to interweaving ancestral traditions, Jonas has spent years studying Amazonian and Lakota spiritual practices, receiving the title Atutapi Mayru (Teacher of Medicines) from the Shanenawa people and walking the Red Road as a sun dancer and Kola under Lakota medicine man Vernon Foster Wakia un Manee. Through his work, he unites Vedic, Indigenous, and Lakota wisdom, fostering a deeper understanding of universal spiritual truths.
Pajé Maná Shanenawa is a respected leader, healer, and wisdom keeper of the Shanenawa people, carrying the sacred traditions of his ancestors deep in his being. Having undergone some of the most profound initiations and Dieta practices, he embodies a rare depth of spiritual mastery and was chosen as a leader of his community due to his unwavering dedication to the sacred ways. His people’s traditions center around healing work and Hapé medicine, a powerful practice that harmonizes the mind, body, and spirit with the wisdom of the forest. Traveling all the way from the Amazon Rainforest, this will be Maná’s first time in the United States, bringing with him the songs, prayers, and ancestral medicine of his lineage. As Jonas Masetti’s teacher in the ways of the forest, Maná offers a bridge between Amazonian and Vedic traditions, sharing sacred chants, healing knowledge, and spiritual teachings that open the heart and deepen the connection to the natural world.
