The monthly Sacred Arts for Women workshop is by instructor Amethyst. September is a special feature month, with 3 instructors!
Amethyst Cottrill began bellydancing in 1997, and began practicing and teaching other Sacred and Pagan Arts, years prior; so, it came instantly and naturally, to combine her ritual practices with the dance. She is the creator of the ElectroBelly style of bellydance, and owner of ElectroBelly Dance Troupe. She offers Bellydance, ElectroBelly & Sacred/Pagan/Goddess Dance Certification Programs, as well as classes for casual students. Amethyst is Certified by Ansuya Rathor (original member of Bellydance Superstars), having earned her Certification in Florida and California. She has studied many styles, under many instructors, with another favorite being Hannah Romanowsky (Hanna Romanza), a Dance Ethnologist based in CA.
This month, Amethyst’s monty Sacred Arts workshop will be co-taught with instructors Anjali Soi & Sourie Iskabah:
-Anjali Soi (Amethyst’s co-instructor and performer of their professional Middle Eastern-Indian Cultural Dance Programs, offered in schools, universities, libraries, organization and corporate programs and more)
-Sourie Iskabah has been Amethyst’s student since 2009. Sourie became a professional troupemate of Amethyst’s ElectroBelly Dance Troupe, after graduating Amethyst’s Professional Bellydance Training Program (which includes a Sacred Dance/Arts section). Sourie Iskabah is a graduate of Ansuya Rathor’s Bellydance Yoga Program. Sourie has completed Phases I and II of the Datura Intensives.
All 3 instructors have many years experience teaching and performing Sacred Arts and dance together and separately, and are excited to reunite and respark this great collaborative program.
