Sacramentum is a melodic black metal [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melodic_black_metal] band from Falköping [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falk%C3%B6ping], Sweden, formed by Nisse Karlén (vocals/guitar) in the summer of 1990 under the name of Tumulus.[3] [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacramentum_(band)#cite_note-3] The band released three full-length studio albums and two demos. They are best known for their debut album Far Away from the Sun [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Far_Away_from_the_Sun], which is often considered one of the best early melodic black metal releases.
Vimur was born in 2006 from the hand and throat of guitarist and vocalist Vaedis, and released three albums so far: Traversing the Ethereal Current (2014), Triumphant Master of Fates (2019) and Transcendental Violence (2022). The Atlanta-based quartet has been hard at work on their fourth album, which has recently been completed and will see the light later in 2024.
