How Sacramento Navigators Is Transforming People and Places Across Greater Sacramento
When Sacramento Navigators (SacNav) opened the doors of its new headquarters — The Lighthouse — at 6428 Watt Avenue in North Highlands, it marked more than a milestone for one organization. It will mark a new chapter in how Greater Sacramento thinks about workforce development, community revitalization, and what it truly means to invest in people.
SacNav is a social enterprise nonprofit with a deceptively straightforward model: hire individuals in recovery from homelessness and addiction, train them to professional standards, and deploy them to transform the commercial corridors, business districts, and public spaces that define the health of a community. The results- measured in cleaner streets, stronger businesses, and lives genuinely rebuilt which is reshaping the conversation about economic development and human potential in Sacramento County.

A Permanent Home — and a Beacon for What's Possible
The grand opening on May 7, 2026 of The Lighthouse at 6428 Watt Avenue, North Highlands, is the physical embodiment of SacNav's growing stability and reach. The new headquarters will serve as the operational hub for SacNav's expanding team of crew members, a training facility, and a gathering place for the community partnerships that make the work possible.
The launch coincides with SacNav's participation in the Big Day of Giving - the region's premier 24-hour fundraising event, on May 7, 2026, reflects the momentum of an organization that has grown from a single corridor program into a multi-district enterprise serving Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), property owners, and public corridors across unincorporated Sacramento County, the City of Sacramento and the greater region. https://www.bigdayofgiving.org/organization/Sacnav
