(English below)Pred nami je še zadnji podvig intenzivne delavnice flamenka letošnje sezone.

Ahead of us is the final highlight of this season’s intensive flamenco workshop series. You are warmly invited to a very special morning with the outstanding musician, singer, percussionist, and dancer Sabrina Romero, whom we are excited to welcome in Ljubljana for her performance at the opening of the tenth season of the contemporary flamenco cycle 𝗡𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗼 on Saturday, June 6, alongside the trio of the legendary saxophonist and flutist Jorge Pardo.
The workshop offers a holistic insight into the dance–music experience of flamenco, where movement organically intertwines with rhythm and enters into dialogue with singing, its structures and expressive content. Through practice, participants will explore the body as a rhythmic and sonic instrument, developing a sense of compás, coordination, and musicality. The program is structured into three interconnected segments: rhythm, dance, and singing, which together provide both a foundational and in-depth understanding of flamenco. The segments are designed as a unified workshop that gradually builds and evolves, with each part supporting the next and contributing to a comprehensive experience.
Exceptionally, it is also possible to attend individual segments, however, for a full understanding and experience, participation in the entire program is recommended.

Sabrina Romero was born into an Andalusian family living in France. At the age of twelve, she won first prize for young dancers at the International Flamenco Competition in Nîmes, which opened the doors for her to perform at the opening of a concert by Paco de Lucía. She continued her artistic education in France as a singer, dancer, and percussionist, and soon collaborated on her first recording project Ida y vuelta with the group Tekameli, alongside Khaled and Parrite. On the album, she appeared as both singer and dancer, and by the age of fifteen had already demonstrated remarkable talent as a percussionist.
At nineteen, she joined international tours with Beatriz Martín, and shortly thereafter began working with the company of Javier Latorre, performing at the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla in productions such as Rinconete y Cortadillo and Triana (2004). During this period, she also collaborated in ensembles led by Rocío Molina and Joaquín Grilo.
She has performed at major festivals and venues worldwide, including Festival de Mont-de-Marsan, Sziget Festival, Jazz à Vienne, Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, Sydney Festival, and Festival Internacional de la Guitarra de Córdoba.
She has collaborated with numerous international musicians, including Jorge Pardo, Duquende, Antonio Carmona, Diego Amador, Rafaela Carrasco, Pastora Galván, Amir Haddad, and José Antonio Rodríguez, as well as French artists such as Juan Carmona, Louis Winsberg, Renaud García-Fons, Kiko Ruiz, and Pierre Bertrand.
In 2015, she released her first original album Syriana, acting as composer and producer. In 2022, she created the performance Sonidos, in which she brings together singing, dance, and original music into a refined and unified artistic expression.
