CLASS INFORMATION
Loosen up and learn a new monotype technique this summer! Indirect Drawing (also called “trace monotype”) is all about embracing imperfection, giving up control, making peace with unpredictability, and finding beauty in the wonky. You’ll learn the basics and have time to explore variations and create more complex, layered works. The process is highly flexible and works with various media and papers. In class we’ll work both on and off the press, but this process can be done at home with no press. This is a great technique for artists working in any 2-dimensional media as it can be combined with almost any material or process. Open to all levels.
