What you’ll need to provide: bring along dress patterns or books you've made before that you might like to adapt, restyle or layer with other pieces
What you will learn & make:
kickstart your seasonal sewjo- utalise patterns you've used before with simple hacks to create a small collection of interchangeable clothing pieces that complement each other. These will be classic pieces that don't go out of style and are primarily composed of neutral colors (or your 'go to' colour pallete). This capsule wardrobe will allow you to create a variety of different outfits with a small selection of clothes.

Sketch capsule wardrobe intentions
Identify fabrics that would be suitable (create a sample sheet)
Discuss how to adapt a patterns; changing the necklines, shape, length & style of sleeve, adding cuffs. Adding length to adapt a top into a dress, alter hem line or add side vents with a hi-low hem
Set sewing intentions for the season ahead
Get the first peek at the new S/S fabric collection
Start with a basic ‘block’(s), ideally your favourite go to pattern(s) or a new one its likely you may have a few patterns you’d like to ‘mash up’.
Who is this suitable for: Over 16's- Confident beginner- This workshop requires you to have existing dressmaking knowledge so that you can build your skills & expand the creative potential of making your own clothes.
