All ages welcome
Ryan Cook has developed a progressive style of country that is both traditional and innovative … a hardcore troubadour/travelling songwriter, born close to Yarmouth, NS.
Since arriving on the scene in 2007, Cook has played over 700 concerts and released three albums: his debut “Hot Times” in 2008; “Peaks and Valleys” in 2010, recorded in Nashville; and in 2013, “Wrestling with Demons.” J.P. Cormier, John Campbelljohn, and the last two living members of Hank Snows’ band, Kayton Roberts and Roger Carroll, join him on his third album.
All three albums have received critical acclaim, with the first two picking up a few nominations and awards along the way. He has shared the stage with Dwight Yoakam, Roseanne Cash, Sammy Kershaw, Steve Poltz, Brandi Carlile and Joel Plaskett.
He’s opened for Travis Tritt and been showcased in Nashville, TN. Deep Roots audiences can be sure of a great show when he reaches our stages.
Like the yellow morning sun inviting fields of sunflowers to turn toward her, Jessica naturally draws her listeners in. Whether you are at a live show or enjoying her musical offerings through your bluetooth speaker, you are sure to feel the sunny warmth she so effortlessly conveys. Her love for storytelling, drawing on folk, outlaw country, and Celtic traditions, is evident in her songwriting.
In 2021, Pearson received the Folk Music Ontario ‘Songs from the Heart’ award for her song Ready My Heart and was selected for Global Music Match, a program created to connect artists internationally on social media platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic. Playing shows, festivals and showcases across eastern Canada, Ireland, Iceland, The UK, the USA and Sweden, Jessica Pearson and the East Wind have opened artists like The Good Lovelies, The East Pointers, Hillsburn, Blue Rodeo and more.
Pearson was nominated for "Music Video of the Year" at the Capital Music Awards and was recently nominated for "Performing Artist of the Year" at the Folk Music Ontario Awards in 2024.
Her debut album On The Line was released January, 2022 to a sold out crowd with her follow up single "Row" reaching top 100 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown. She is currently working on an all women created album to be released in 2025 with Juno Award Winning producer Hill Kourkoutis.

McKayla was born and raised in the Saint John, NB area now living in Fredericton where she has been crafting her skills as a songwriter and performer. Formerly of the Fundy Drifters which she was the front person of this jam/rock band. She has been playing solo songwriter shows for the past few years. Her song "Bird Song" has become a bit of a local hit that gets requested often. Mckaylas music can range from Folk, Country, Jazzy and soulful. Her songs come from her life stories and experiences.
McKayla can hold an audience with her playful banter of wit and humor and her delivery.
McKayla has plans to get her songs recorded in the near future and spread her wings a bit, playing to some new audiences and looks forward to meeting everyone.
