Jacob Rose, a dynamic folk-rock singer-songwriter, blends the rugged spirit of Alberta with the coastal charm of New Brunswick. Brimming with heartfelt hope, melancholy, and grit, his warm demeanor and powerful voice are enticing and welcoming. His music, formed by both rural and urban landscapes, captivates with its unforgettable melodies and raw folk essence.
Jacob has shared the stage with esteemed artists like the Sam Roberts Band, Leeroy Stagger, Andrew Smith, Brent Mason, and more, showcasing his talent and earning his place in the spotlight. In 2015, Jacob Rose recorded his first E.P. titled ‘Last Another Day’ at Lake Studios (Kelowna, BC). “Marco Polo” was nominated for best folk song at the 2016 YYC Music Awards in Calgary.
Funded in part by FACTOR and the government of Canada, ‘Can’t Hold It All’ was released June 2020 (Lake Studios Montreal) with lyrics preemptively reflecting themes of grief and powerlessness.
In 2023, Jacob Rose co-wrote and performed on Tuckersfield single, “Wharfbound”, featuring ear-catching melodies and mellifluous harmonies. “Wharfbound” has garnered a strong local following and plays on CBC Radio. Wharfbound (Jacob’s Version) was released on July 2024 and has since seen a resurgence in popularity and Spotify playlist placements.
Isobel Soderman is the youngest daughter to the late Jon Soderman. She has grown up listening to and watching her father play his own original songs at home and on stage. Family kitchen jam sessions are a familiar scene in the household so it is no wonder at an early age Isobel started singing and quickly after picked up a guitar and hasn’t looked back. She has played at the Stanley fair since the young age of 5, and has been a contestant in the Nashwaak idol for several years, She has also playe a few shows in Fredericton including the Living Roots Music Festival.
