Ruth McKee is the editor of Books Ireland and the host of the Burning Books podcast. She is also the editor of the The Irish Writers Handbook. Her short fiction has been selected for New Irish Writing, and she was twice-shortlisted for the Hennessy Literary Awards. She was a winner of the Irish Writers Centre Novel Fair. Wild Iris (Dedalus) is her debut novel, described by John Banville as 'wonderfully inventive...a funny, moving and vastly entertaining novel.'
Hilary McCollum is the author of two novels, a childhood memoir and four plays. Her second novel, As a Lover, interweaves the coming-of-age story of a young Irish firefighter with the suppression of the first openly lesbian novel written in English, Radclyffe Hall’s The Well of Loneliness.
