Every year on May 18th, we honor Ruth Sutton-Kennedy (King) at CrossFit 330 with a hero WOD written in her honor. Ruth lost her 2-year battle with triple-negative breast cancer in 2010. She was an avid participant in physical activity. She stayed active through soccer, hiking, power walking, and lifting weights. She was a physical education teacher with the Akron Public Schools for the majority of her career and loved teaching. Ruth loved to travel, especially her girlsโ trips to Cancun with Michelle, her nieces, and her mom. She also loved going on hiking trips with her partner Kerry & his sisters.
Ruth is the inspiration behind CrossFit 330 & our community. When we created 330, we wanted to create a gym that she would want to be a part of and one where everyone fit because she always taught that fitness was for everyone.
We invite you to join us in an at home version of โRuthโ if you are unable to make it into the gym today.
Side note- Ruth also loved her Family Friday nights at El Punte so we always refuel with Mexican. ๐ฒ๐ฝ ๐ฎ

If you decide to join us we would love to see a pic of you post wod!
