About this Event
Join us for an evening of Russian Romances and German Lieder featuring internationally acclaimed dramatic soprano Svetlana Sozdateleva, returning to Boston for her third concert with organizers Nicholas Shaplyko and Ekaterina Sorokina.
Following two successful performances at the Museum of Modern Renaissance and House of Arts, Svetlana brings a richly curated program spanning the great traditions of the Russian romance and the German Lied. The program features works by Glinka, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff alongside Brahms, Schubert, Schumann, and Strauss, painting an intimate and deeply expressive portrait of two great musical cultures.
Joining Svetlana on stage is pianist Irina Chelnokova, who accompanied the very first MMR concert and delivered a world-class performance that left a lasting impression. With broad experience across a wide range of musical genres, Irina brings both versatility and deep musicality to the stage, making her a wonderful partner for this program.
Sozdateleva has performed at some of the world's most prestigious venues, including the Metropolitan Opera, Komische Oper Berlin, and Royal Festival Hall London. Experience her artistry up close in the intimate and acoustically beautiful setting of the Museum of Modern Renaissance, where world-class music meets a truly special atmosphere.
