Are you from Rural Alaska and interested in gaining hands-on construction skills that can lead to real job opportunities—while also building skills that can help support or rebuild your community? Join Alaska Works Partnership for our FREE Rural Residential Framing Training, designed especially for Rural Alaskans.During this weeklong training, participants will learn foundational framing skills, including:
• Wood framing layout for floors, walls, windows, and doors
• Roof framing techniques for gables, rafters, and ceilings
• Tool handling and safety best practices

This training opportunity is designed to:
• Provide participants with an experiential understanding of a career in the construction trades, and
• Enhance participants' abilities to gain employment in the construction industry.

• Participants must be available all five days of training.
• Applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview if space is still available in the training(s) they applied to.
• All applicants must participate in the interview process to be considered for final placement in the training.
• **All applicants must provide the following documents for acceptance into the training: a copy of your Birth Certificate, or Social Security card, DD214 (veterans only), and a valid Driver’s License. **
