The Show returns! Fashion as activism. Community as couture.Glide Memorial Church is where community members gathered in 1972 to plan the first official San Francisco Gay Freedom Day Parade. This June, that same space becomes our runway.
Runway of Pride at Glide returns for its second year. Back and bolder, the famed fashion show is more inclusive and more beautifully itself than ever. Fashion has always been an LGBTQ+ industry. Creativity and presentation are sites of self-invention, survival, radical joy, and Resistance In Action. This evening honors that legacy by putting our community exactly where it belongs: on Center Stage, under the spotlight, witnessed in our splendor.
The night's headliner is Pat Cleveland, one of the first Black supermodels and a pioneering voice for representation and inclusivity on the runway, walking in a custom gown by couturier Naeem Khan. Alongside her, an extraordinary lineup of models will strut their stuff, including community members, local legends, and some of the elected officials who show up for us every day.
This is fashion as it was always meant to be: fierce, intentional, and unapologetically ours. Expression as resistance. The runway as revolt. Woven within all of it, Glide itself will hold you. Its spirit, its sanctuary, and its iconic choir are living, breathing co-stars tonight. Not just another venue, Glide Memorial Church tells an entire story. Now, you're a part of it.
