RunSLOClub's 2 Year Anniversary Mile Relay Race

RunSLOClub will be hosting a beer/cider mile relay race on 3/14 to celebrate our one year anniversary! Teams of 6, maximum of 25 teams can participate. Get creative with your team - there will be incredible prizes for best team name, best team costumes and top three finishing teams, and more!

No boring baton hand off here, instead the incoming runner must finish a 5 oz pour of beer, cider, or sparkling water before the next person can start running. *IDs will be checked*

Summary of Relay:

• 1 mile (out & back) towards the bike path. The turnaround point is the SMALL bridge on the actual path. A map will be printed.
• Legs 1, 3, and 5 will start at Ancient Owl and end at Shindig
• Legs 2, 4, and 6* will start at Shindig and end at Ancient Owl
• *Leg 6 will finish at Shrine Brewing where a photo booth will be set up for a victory shot with your team. Leg 6 will also have the opportunity to taste this new brewery's beer!

Participants

• Teams of six - Please have your team decided before purchasing a ticket!
• Pay $15 entry per person.Be prepared to show your ID the day of and check-in with your team.
• Sign waiver.
• Obey traffic laws.

Teams:

• Team colors and/or costumes are encouraged.
• Teams must coordinate transportation.
• Teams may designate a *beer drinker that is not running or substitute beer for sparkling water.

Timeline

• 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM - Check-in with your team with pre-decided leg assignments.
• 12:45 PM - Welcome & Rules!
• 1:00 PM - Start Relay!
• 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM - Post-relay hang out | Food, raffle, music and more!
