Welcome to the Running 101 Panel Discussion!

Join us for an engaging panel discussion with experienced professionals in the world of running sharing their tips, tricks, and stories about hitting the pavement. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this event is perfect for anyone looking to improve their perfomance!

Located at FLEX DC gym - 219 M St NW, this in-person event will feature a Q&A with fitness pros, physical therapists, nutritionists and run coaches. Stick around for shoe demos, raffle giveaways , and plenty of networking opportunities with local runners and running groups in the city. Don't miss out on this chance to connect with fellow runners and gain valuable insights into the world of running.

Panel members:

Dr. Sarah Weimer, PT, DPT, CDNS- owner of DC Physical Therapy + Fitness, Physical Therapist specializing in treatment, strength training and coaching runners of all levels. Sarah has a unique skills set that she brings to runners not only as a PT but also as a run coach and strength coach and is able to blend all aspects of running together in the treatment of her athletes.


Stephanie Mull, MS, RD, CSSD, CSCS - an experienced sports dietitian who loves helping people optimize their body composition and athletic performance. She is an industry leader having co-developed Metabolism Based Eating and she works with people all over the country. Stephanie also works at American University as adjunct faculty and is the sports dietitian for the athletic department.


Mahogany Blank - an endurance athlete, Certified RRCA Run Coach and Kickboxing Fitness Instructor in Washington, DC. Her running accomplishments include a triathlon, multiple 10 milers and half marathons, 2 full marathons, three 60 mile relays (Chocolate City Relay), one 200ish mile relay (Ragnar Relay) and one 340 mile relay running from Santa Monica to Las Vegas (the Speed Project). Mahogany has always been an advocate for fitness. She grew up a competition cheerleader and dancer but has always run to stay fit. Mahogany also enjoys snowboarding and other outdoor activities. When she’s not in training, Mahogany loves wine and pizza, preferably along side friends.


Andrew Cantor -endurance athlete and coaches 12 athletes for Running Explained. His athletes have a diverse athletic background, lifestyles and live all over the US. He believes in a custom approach to training which caters to each athletes needs and goals. Andrew started running his freshman year of high school when he joined the cross country team because he had friends who signed up, but immediately fell in love with the team environment and the support he received from his coaches and teammates while also seeing improvement. To this day, one of the many things Andrew loves about running is chasing a tangible goal. His PR’s include a 16:37 5K, 56:35 10 Mile, 75:42 Half Marathon and 2:43:42 Marathon.
