Run On Edmonton is quickly becoming one of the city’s most sought-out fall trail races — and more than that, it’s a heartfelt community event rooted in purpose. Held each September when Edmonton’s river valley trails are bursting with fall colours, Run On offers a chance to connect with nature, challenge yourself, and support those facing the battle of their lives.
Originally launched in 2019, Run On began as a grassroots family run in the community of Greenfield. Now in its 5th year in the stunning Edmonton river valley, the race starts at the Alfred Savage Centre and follows a rugged trail course that showcases some of the city’s most beautiful natural landscapes.
Whether you’re an experienced trail runner or looking for a meaningful way to spend the day with your family, Run On welcomes everyone. All race options take place within Edmonton’s urban trail system, offering a mix of terrain and unforgettable views.
This charity race is held in memory of Amy Alain and supports Amy’s House, a haven for cancer patients and their families traveling for treatment.
**Race Options**
🏔 **50K Ultra** (New this year!) – \$100
🏃‍♀️ **Full Marathon** – \$80
🏃 **Half Marathon** – \$50
👟 **Relay Team (2–4 runners)** – \$135/team
👨‍👩‍👧 **5K Run/Walk** – \$25
👶 **5K Run/Walk (12 & under)** – *Free* with adult registration
**Course Format**
Each loop is approximately 10 km in length and can be run solo or as part of a relay team.
