Workshop Aim

To upskill developmental coaches in a range of different events and to promote a multi event approach to their athletes in clubs, schools etc. In line with Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) it is important for both athlete and coach to understand the benefits of coaching and participating in a number of different events before specialising.
FORMAT: The workshops are delivered over the course of two consecutive weeks with Three different events covered on each day. Each event will be designated 1 hr.
CONTENT: Learn and improve on the basics of each of the event groups (Sprints, Hurdles, HJ, LJ, Shot, Javelin). We will also get the athletes doing the event and look at common faults and how to correct. Each coach will receive a RJT document outlining the topics covered each week emailed to them after each session.
This workshop is aimed at coaches who have completed either a Level 1 or assistant coach course but anyone can attend.

Entry Requirements: Run Jump Throw Workshops are open to all those 16 years or over.
