Run for the Beach 5k

Join Salem Sound Coastwatch for our annual Run for the Beach 5K on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Dane Street Beach in Beverly, MA.

This family friendly community event brings together runners, walkers, families, and local businesses in support of protecting and restoring the Salem Sound watershed. Now in its 18th year, the race draws hundreds of participants from across the Greater Boston area for a fun morning by the ocean.

All proceeds support Salem Sound Coastwatch’s environmental work, including coastal resilience projects, marine conservation, water quality monitoring, and hands-on education programs for nearly 5,000 students each year.

• Scenic coastal 5K course starting at Dane Street Beach
• Family friendly activities and environmental education booths
• SALT, the life size inflatable whale from Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary
• Touch tank with marine animals
• Music, refreshments, and post race celebrations

Registration opens at 8:00 AM
Race starts at 9:00 AM

$40 advance registration includes a T-shirt (through May 31).
Same day registration available.

Strollers welcome. Kids 10 and under run for $10 with a registered adult.
