Run for Safe Food – Relay Run + Individual Categories (10K | 5K | 3K Walkathon)
Run for Safe Food is a purpose-driven fitness and social awareness initiative dedicated to promoting healthy living, food safety, sustainable food habits, and collective support for our farmers who form the backbone of our food system. The goal of this movement is to build a conscious community that understands the importance of safe food, respects the people who grow it, and takes consistent steps toward a healthier lifestyle.
This year’s edition brings a unique Relay Run format, designed to highlight teamwork, unity, and shared responsibility. In the relay run, participants form a team and complete the distance together by passing the baton, symbolizing the journey of food from the farm to our plates. It is not just a race—it is a representation of how every hand, every effort, and every decision contributes to a safer and healthier food ecosystem.
Alongside the relay, we are delighted to announce that individual participation categories are now officially open. This provides runners, fitness enthusiasts, beginners, and supporters a chance to participate based on their comfort and interest. The available categories are:
- 10K Individual Run – For experienced runners aiming to push their limits and lead the movement.
- 5K Individual Run – For growing runners or regular fitness enthusiasts who want to run with purpose.
- 3K Walkathon (Non-Competitive) – Open for all age groups; a relaxed, community-friendly format to walk and show support for the cause.
Participants will receive an event bib, category-wise arrangements, supportive volunteer assistance, and an inspiring running environment that connects fitness with a meaningful purpose. Beyond the track, this event aims to spark conversation, educate communities, and encourage everyday food choices that positively impact our health, farmers, and the planet.
