β€οΈ Why We Run
Since 2005, Faith Hope and Love Community (FHL) has been committed to ending hunger, addressing food insecurity, and building healthier, more connected communities. We believe food is more than nourishment β it is a doorway to dignity, hope, and transformation.
The reality is sobering:
- Over 47 million Americans, including 14 million children, face food insecurity
- In Indiana alone, 1 in 7 children struggles with hunger
- Hunger contributes to long-term physical illness, mental distress, and weakened family and community stability
Yet together, we are making a difference.
In the past year:
- Nearly $1.5 million in groceries were distributed through FHLβs Missional Food Pantry network
- Volunteers contributed over $250,000 in service hours
- More than 15,000 individuals across 4,000 households were served
- 4,000 grocery boxes were delivered to 2,000 homebound neighbors across Central Indiana
And we know we can do even more β with your help.
π§ Mind, Body & Community
Run2EndHunger is about more than running. This event raises awareness of the vital connection between mental, emotional, and physical health.
Research consistently shows that chronic stress, anxiety, and depression significantly increase the risk of preventable physical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and stroke. Understanding this mind-body connection is essential to building strong families and resilient communities.
By participating, youβre supporting holistic wellness β body, mind, and spirit.
π Who Can Participate?
- Runners & walkers of all ages
- Families, teams, and community groups
- First-time runners and seasoned athletes
- In-person and virtual participants nationwide
