Rumble on the Mountain XI will take place on September 13th, 4pm to 9:30pm at Heritage Square in downtown Flagstaff, Arizona. The event will feature Indigenous musicians and speakers from the region including Radmilla Cody, Sage Bond, Ryon Polequaptewa, Sihasin, Haul No!, Ed Kabotie & The ‘Yoties, Diana Sue Uqualla, Bucky Preston and Carletta Tilousi. Two short films, “A Call to Consciousness”, and Ulu-Kin/A Cry for the Homelands” will premier at the event. The films draw attention to water issues on Indigenous lands that are affected by industrial mining in Northern Arizona.Rumble on the Mountain is an annual event produced by Cloud Mtn Arts to raise awareness of social and political injustices experienced by Native peoples of the Grand Canyon region. Sponsors of the Rumble include Grand Canyon Trust, The Sierra Club, Rewilding Institute, American Rivers, Wild Arizona, and Center for Biological Diversity.
