Rufino is coming to the island for the first time in May 2025 - and he’s really going to shake things up! Rufino is much more than just a topical pop artist. He is his own landform, his own geo-political territory: He is The Gulf of Rufino. Then of course there are his long-time musical appointees – a cabinet of creative curiosities known as The Wreckage. Brilliant and bold, talented and tormented. The Wreckage are some of the country’s most talented musical provocateurs. There should be an embargo on their brilliance.

Rufino the Catalan Casanova , violinist and crooner from world acclaimed kabaret ensemble Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen, has set sail on an incredible solo voyage. Troubled winds, a mutinous crew and a wrecked boat has thrown him on a new and most treacherous course right into the dark heart of the tropics! There, by sheer chance, he has found a new band of castaways and misfits in the shady ports and fertile rhythm-rich jungles to form Rufino and Wreckage! Now, he washes up onto Dangar Island! And a party is about to get started…
Rufino appears at the Dangar Island Bowling Club with the full 8-piece Wreckage in tow! The finest proponents of Tropical Punk-Funk Kabaret this side of Kingston, Rufino and crew come to croon, swagger and stomp through a set of classics, as well as a bag of new songs from the forthcoming Rufino and the Wreckage album. The Wreckage are in fine form, as always, some of the finest twangers, yelpers, thumpers and tinklers known to humanity. As usual, it'll be a wild voodoo, bone stomping beach party with plenty of laughs and jungle terrors to delight! Wouldn't want to miss out now would you!
