About this Event
Join Peckham Veteran Services for Ruck to Remember, a Memorial Day tribute honoring the lives and legacies of our fallen service members.
Each participant will carry the biography of a fallen service member during the walk or ruck, creating a personal connection that turns each step into an act of remembrance. This yearβs dog tag theme reinforces that connection and serves as a reminder that every name represents a life and a story worth honoring.
The intent of the event is to ruck while carrying the food items you plan to donate, symbolizing continued service and support for others. Participation is flexible, and attendees are encouraged to modify their experience based on personal fitness level and comfort. Participants may ruck with weight, walk without a ruck, or move at their own pace. If carrying food is not feasible, donations may be dropped off during event registration at the beginning of the event.
All food donations will be provided to Zero Day, a nonprofit that supports veterans and their families through community-based services that promote stability and self-sufficiency.
Open to veterans, service members, families, and community allies, Ruck to Remember transforms Memorial Day into more than a ceremony. It is a shared commitment to remember, reflect, and carry forward the stories of those who gave everything.
