Indie pop / rock band from Nottingham. Influences include The Cab, Paramore and Florence and The Machine. Since their debut release Howlin' in 2017, Kelsey and the Embers have garnered more than 200,000 streams on Spotify alone. Their Debut EP 'Cry Wolf' was released in October 2020.

Skum channel heavy, riff-driven intensity and hazy atmospheres into a sound driven by instinct, passion, and collective energy. Forged in Birmingham’s underground scene, the band have become known for intense, high-impact live shows that blur the line between heaviness and immersion, drawing audiences into a near-trance-like state through volume, texture, and emotion.
Skum’s debut single Same Old Game, produced by acclaimed UK producer Gavin Monaghan (Editors, Robert Plant), established an early benchmark for the band’s recorded output. Now entering a new studio phase, the band are taking greater control of their sound as they work on a run of heavier new singles. Alongside their growing catalogue, Skum are expanding beyond their hometown with shows confirmed across the UK, laying the groundwork for wider touring and festival appearances in the years ahead.
