What? Rube Goldberg Camp
When? June 8th to 12th, 9am to 1:30pm daily
Where? Maxim Doucet Hall, University of Louisiana, Lafayette
Who? 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders
In this Rube Goldberg Camp, students will be working in very small groups using various physics concepts to build a comically involved, cause and effect machine to perform a simple task. Student to Teacher ratio will be 6 : 1. Students will be provided a light lunch. Parents will receive a daily video update.
This Rube Goldberg Camp will be taught by local math and science teachers.
Camp Details
Day 1: Review science concepts. Explore ideas.
Day 2: Begin building steps and testing ideas
Day 3: Expand steps with further testing.
Day 4: Construct final steps and embed scientific explanations.
Day 5: Finalize Rube Goldberg and showcase machine.
