With its debut competition in 2022, the Rubato International Piano Competition has helped propel dozens of talented young pianists from around the world further into the spotlight. Uniquely consisting of competitions in both classical and jazz music, Rubato offers competitors and fans an exciting twist to a highly competitive event.Where: Rubato is held in Oxford, Alabama at the Oxford Performing Arts Center (OPAC). OPAC hosts dozens of national touring acts annually.
When: The competition is held bi-annually, with gold medalists being invited back to perform a year after each competition. The 2025 competition will be held on August 12-16.
